Introduction to Archery

Introduction To Archery is a class aimed at giving you an overview of archery. This class introduces participants to proper shooting form, while teaching students about archery equipment and different types of archery, all the while teaching them proper safety considerations when shooting.

Introduction To Archery meets once a week and is a branching course for all archers who wish to participate in other WMAC archery programs. During this six-week course archers shoot under the guidance of instructors at WMAC's Indoor Shooting Range, the use of WMAC bows, arrows, and safety equipment are included in course fees.

  Times:  Early class - 6:00 to 7:00pm;  Late class - 7:30 to 8:30pm

Cost:  $60 for the class covers all sessions and equipment use.

Give Archery A Try!!!

Give Archery a Try, is a free event from Noon to 2pm on the second Saturday of each month. Open to the public, Give Archery a Try will give everyone weather you are 8 or 80 an opportunity to try shooting with our equipment or your own, if you are not sure how to properly use it. While here, you can learn about upcoming introductory classes and events, as well as membership and open shooting opportunities at WMAC.

Summer JOAD

The Junior Olympic Archery Development program commonly referred to as JOAD is the official youth development program of the USA Olympic Archery program. JOAD is open to any youth archer age 9 up to 20. Top Nock JOAD is divided into three levels, JOAD Bronze, JOAD Silver, and JOAD Gold. This allow archers to focus on what they want to achieve, and to optimize practice time with our coaches. JOAD archers can train for archery at any level, whether just focusing on recreation and fun shooting or preparing for competition, our JOAD program offers options for everyone.  

The Spring session of JOAD starts Saturday April 22 at 8:30am and runs through June. During this summer session, some archers will be shooting outside, while others will remain indoors to focus on technique.
