WMAC Annual Outdoor Charity Tournament

The West Michigan Archery Center will host a single metric 900 round consisting of 90 arrows, shot as three games and varying distances (see below). This event is one of WMAC’s annual community charity fundraiser events, with half of the proceeds going to this year’s partner organization, The Equest Center. The Equest Center for Therapeutic Riding is a local non-profit organization that works to improve the quality of life through equine-based therapy to physically, mentally, and socially/emotionally challenged individuals. The Center’s unique program integrates academic, social, and physical skills, using the horse as a catalyst.
Compound, recurve, and barebow bow divisions.
Each game consists of five ends of six arrows each
122 cm target faces used at all 3 distances
Age divisions follow USA archery rules.
No dress code requirements (other than close-toed shoes and no inappropriate printing on clothing.
USA Archery equipment rules will be in effect, with draw weight limited to 60lbs, and arrow diameter limited to 9.3mm.
Awards for top three places in each division
Participants and spectators may arrive early to put up canopies in the designated areas.
Food concessions on site.
registration and Fees:
Archers should register online prior to the event by May 26th.
Registration Fee: $30 for all archers
(half goes to The Equest Center as a donation)
Registration is limited to 100 archers.
Schedule: Saturday, June 1st, 2019
Check-in starts at 8:30am
Equipment Inspection 9:00am
Practice begin at 10:00am with shooting for score immediately after.
Each game will have a 15 minute break to move targets.
Awards ceremony following shooting. Archers must be present or have a representative to accept awards.
60/50/40m for all Masters, Senior, and Junior archers in all bow divisions
50/40/30m for all Cadet archers, and for Cub divisions in compound and recurve
30/25/20m for all Bowmen archers and for Cub divisions for barebow
20/15/10m for all Yeoman archers in all bow divisions
Age Divisions (from on USA Archery Rules):
Based upon the archer age on the last day of the year (Dec. 31, 2019).
Yeoman - age 8 and under on Dec. 31, 2019
Bowman - age 9-12
Cub - age 13-14
Cadet - age 15-17
Junior - age 18-20
Senior - age 21-50
Masters divided by decade (50+, 60+ and 70+)
